Childs Dreyfus partners with A Safe Haven Foundation for its annual adopt-a-shelter event

ASHF LogoEvery year, The Childs Dreyfus Group organizes an event for Christmas in order to give back to the community and help those in need during the holiday season. This year, we are excited to announce our partnership with A Safe Haven Foundation as we prepare a Christmas luncheon for the families at this wonderful Chicago shelter. With the help of numerous volunteers and in cooperation with several businesses, we are able to host this event on December 24th at the Safe Haven shelter on Roosevelt and California, where we will be providing gifts and arts and crafts for the children, as well as new apparel and a home cooked meal for all the families.

This is a long-standing tradition for Childs Dreyfus, with past events totaling up to 500 individuals. Over the years, we have worked with several women’s and family shelters alike, and this year, we are thoroughly looking forward to participating in this event at A Safe Haven Foundation. Headquartered in Chicago’s west side, ASHF has thirty six transitional, supportive, affordable, and senior housing locations all across the Chicagoland area. In accordance with their motto “Aspire. Transform. Sustain.,” the organization works to take in families and individuals struggling with homelessness and help them get back on their feet.

The Childs Dreyfus Group went to decorate the shelter this past week in preparation for the event and to bring some holiday cheer a little bit in advance.

We are all very excited for this event and are looking forward to seeing it come to a successful fruition.

For their help and generous contributions we would like to thank the following: Firecakes, Echo, HoneyBaked Ham, Home Depot, Burlington Coat Factory, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, and all our wonderful volunteers.
